In the performance Rocks, Resting (2024), different people, exhausted by forces like ableism, burnout, xenophobia, long-covid and other causes, came together with three large rocks. The people let themselves rest on the rocks, and the rocks supported them, together forming an oasis of slow, deep time on the city’s main square, as the popular music festival Eurosonic Festival took over Groningen’s bustling, snowing and noisy city center.
